I agree with supacat’s article in almost everything, it’s mostly true according to my knowledge.

Even after knowing how Japanese people think we Westerners still get shocked when actually confronted with their behaviour. The failure to truly connect with Japanese maybe was the most bitter memory of my 3-month travel to Japan.

argh, I definitely don’t want to let me go by prejudices and stuff, but, really really, I cannot help feeling a bit sorry for them. I mean, looks like such a burden. It’s as if everything related to sex were sinful. Don’t know. It’s really freaked me out and, well, she says she’s only scratched the surface, so go figure :-(
